welcome

Welcome! Here at Ananda Vihara, we are dedicated to initially creating a retreat center and laying the foundations for a future Buddhist monastery in our country. Our project aims to cultivate peace, wisdom, and contemplative practice in community.

Our next big step is to acquire land to begin construction of the center. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us make this dream a reality. We invite you to be part of this transformative journey: your donation can make a difference in establishing a space for practice and spiritual growth. Together, we can create a refuge of peace and learning in the heart of Brazil.

About Us

We are two Brazilian monks committed to the path of Dharma, united by a deep journey of study and practice in Tibetan Buddhism. Our academic and spiritual training is being developed at Sera Jey monastic university in southern India, where we dedicate ourselves to the in-depth study of the Tibetan language and Buddhist philosophy.
Our monastic life is entirely oriented toward the continuous learning and practice of Buddhist teachings. We divide our days between rigorous study of sacred texts and contemplative practice, always aware that we are students on a path of constant learning and transformation.
The experience at Sera Jey allows us to understand the richness and depth of the teachings, while keeping us humble before the vastness of Buddhist knowledge. Ananda Vihara was born from our desire to share this learning journey, creating in Brazil a space for spiritual transformation and cultivation of the Dharma.
